Revelation 13's Who's Who -

There are two beasts that play the key role in prophetic Bible prophecy.

Although the beasts are described differently in the chapters of the books of Daniel and Revelation, these Scriptures are referring to one or the other of the TWO.

The beast of Revelation 13:1 is seen in the book of Daniel as the fourth beast (Dan.7:7). He is one of the kings of the four kingdoms that will stand up out of the (single) nation (Dan.8:22). He is the "the other" (seventh) king, who must CONTINUE a short space (Re.17:10), three and a half years.

The beast of Revelation 13:11 is seen in the book of Daniel as "another little horn" (Dan.7:8). He is seen as "a king of fierce countenance, … ." He is seen in Revelation chapter 17 as "a scarlet colored beast" once he sits in the temple of God showing himself he is God (2 Thess.2:4). He is "the eighth", who is of the seven, that goes into perdition (Re.17:11, Re.17:8, Re.19:20).

At the battle of Armageddon, the beast of Revelation 13:1 is seen as "the beast". The beast of Revelation 13:11 is seen as "the false prophet" (Re.19:20).

The beast of Revelation 13:1 has the number 666 (Re.13:17), but it is the false prophet who is, what the world refers to as “the antichrist”. It is he would sits in the temple of God showing himself he is God; it is he who magnifies himself (Dan.8:11, Dan.8:25, Dan.11:36-37).

When the end is here, the end is here.

My honest opinion of one interpretation of the Revelation verses:
I think the "nation" you speak of will be more of a church-state. It will seem good to those who follow. It's not going to be some demonic figure like Manson. I think the organisation will look very good on the outside to Christians and those who follow along with Christians.

I think when we move towards a Theocratic government, as the US is heading towards now, with churches trying to get their beliefs inscribed into the constitution, that we approach a nation that is ever more capable of enforcing a mark of the beast in the name of "God" and "Jesus".

I think that a population that lives in fear of terrorism and in hatred of things that don't fit into their religious beliefs, that we approach closer to a society that would willingly accept a government that is theocratically controlled. When the population of a country gives up their freedom for a sense of security, those freedoms are very hard to get back.

I honestly think the "beast" will be a church-state that enforces it's mark on members, maybe to brand them as heterosexual, maybe to brand them as christian.

Do you HONESTLY think the mark of the beast will be like a tattoo or an implant?! I think it's more likely going to be a title: "Conservative", "Christian", "Catholic", "Baptist", "Republican", "Democrat", or any other phrase.

And of course, it will seem good to nearly everyone.

Those are just my guesses, but honestly, who cares? When the end is here, the end is here. We can't change that, we can't do anything about that.

If you want to try to prevent a government capable of enforcing a mark of the beast, then fight theocracy and love everyone. Don't promote hate, don't try to get religion in the government. And NEVER give up your freedoms for security.

Although I believe in EVERY word of the Bible, I would be careful in associating things when you don't know everything exactly. I have heard SEVERAL times that the Beast is actually the anti-Christ. Sometimes the Bible is meant to be taken literally, and other times not. But, other than that...great job in looking into the Bible yourself.

Wake up and grow up. America is not in the bible or in revelation. It is an old Christian book of myths.

Yep, Islam. And don't forget, they're very into lopping off heads too, which also fits. Oh, you meant America? Nope, we tend to stay away from bloody head mutilations, way too sensitive for that stuff.

what about Canada, Mexico, and all the other South American countries?

What about Babylon, the Roman Empire, and other historical empires that were known about during the writing of revelations?

You are really being kind of dumb.
