Sure, as long as we didn't talk sex, politics or religion.

Well Im Christian, but not fundie...
Most of my relatives are athiest so whenever I'm staying with them (admittedly not for 30 days at a time) I cope fine. I find that what I do (praying, bible reading, whatever) I do privately, so it doesn't present a problem as long as I have some time alone.
As for living with what they do, the only real problem I have being around athiests is blaspheming, which Im not comfortable with, but i dont really say much to people about it.
If I was living with Muslims I really dont think I would have a problem with them doing what they need to do.
I once saw three Muslims pull off the motorway into a Macdonalds carpark to pray. I really admire that dedication and I felt great about it all day just being reminded that there are people out there that are spiritual and really care.

I have, My husbands family is from Singapore and are Muslim, my family is from NY and Christian, I am non of the above. We avoid religion as much as possible but it still comes up every once in awhile. Then it is definitely awkward to say the least, but we are family so I guess it is a bit different.

I spent 31 years married to a christian woman before she died. Religion never had an adverse influence on our relationship. But her church and religious leaders sure did. They could not accept the fact that I did not believe in their god. They tried for 31 years to get me to see the error of my ways. She's dead and I'm still alive. What does that prove? That her god needed her more than I did?

Of course I could. As a Christian, I don't hate those people. I have a burden for them, and I would see it as an opportunity to share my testimony. It would also be a great way to shoot down the stereotypical thinking about Christians.

If I had to, I would. But I wouldn't observe any of their ceremonies, since I was forced in their house, rather than choose to go. So as long as they left me alone, we could live together for 30 days.

See you're messing up the question - first you brought up the questions of living w/ a different religion, then you threw in the homo atheist - hate to bust your bubble, most of the homos in this world are Catholics and Christians... (talk to your priest about it, while his hands are down your pants...)....

Well I have to spend a lot of time with my southern baptist (crazy) relatives (I'm Unitarian) and even though they drive me insaine, I can stand it. They tell me I'm going to hell all the time, and I just shrug and say "Well, the best music is there."
