Ask about things she might be into like music, movies, celebrity gossip, current events. Respond with respectful comments of your own, even if you disagree. If you get lucky, you will find a topic that the two of you can discuss that is a passion you both have.
Don't ask what are you wearing, ask, what clothes are you into? It seems fashion is changing everyday. Ask what pair of shoes she bought last, what do they look like and what attracted her to them.
What music to you like, Alternative?
What was the last movie you saw. (If she says none, ask what movie did you want to see?) Follow up with what did you like about it? Talk about your opinion of the same things she is talking about.

Talk about what you and she like, dislike, interest, hobbies, future aspirationg, what is around them, views of the world, favorite places to visit, what is interesting to them, music, movies etc
