I think its a false comparison, traditional churches can be new testament churches
some modern practices dont share much, theological liberalism is not a new testament practice and is more like radicle skeptism, similarly Jesus substitutes like Saints and Mary will be less in early churches
Porbably a new testament church was run surprizingly similarly to an orthodox prebyterian church
Many beliefs and practices of eastern orthodox are ancient
Much of the mass of Catholics goes back to traditions from acient times
you might be makeing a false distinction, I think alot of modern Christians do not realize the storng historic ties of other practices while they try and approach worship and the scritures in a fresh way
early Christians would read form both New and Old testament, they met on Sunday as Jesus rose on Sunday, appeared a week later on Sunday, Pentacost was on Sunday, Revelation given on Sunday, Euticus felloutta the window on sunday and Paul ordered collection of gifts on Sunday.... lotta Sundays eh

The Torah is the five books of Moses, from the old testament.
Christian churches generally don't place much emphasis on the Old Testament, and all of them play up the New Testament, it being the Jesus stories, the Acts of his crowd, and Paul's letters to this and that, mostly.
I don't know this, but New Testament churches, if there is any such thing, are extremely focused on being "born again" and "being saved" and so on, and are very plain in their style of worship, less settled into ritual.

There is only one True Church... That is The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. If you come to God in The Way He proscribes and receive your Salvation by God's Grace and Mercy... then you are of The Church.
Dose any one really know what a "traditional" Christian curch is???
The Word of God can only be decerned by the leading of The Holy Spirit. What are refered to as The Old and The New... Both contain The word of God... But also, today, a lot of w=hat man has mucked up and distorted... that is why only by The leading of The Holy Spirit can any hope be had for understanding... but both Old and New are needed...
Here is a link To my Bible Page from my website for some of my pov on the Old/New stuff

New Testament churches deny that Christ is the fulfillment of the Hebrew Scriptures- or 'Old Testament.'
They refuse to acknowledge the roots of Christianity in the Law of Moses.
Jesus Himself said He did not come to replace the law, but to fulfill it.
You cannot have true understanding of Christ without true understanding of our heritage in the Jewish faith!
