Personally, I would say no you shouldn't, but that is me. There is no Biblical mandate against it. But the reasons I would advise against is:
1. I don't see it as a wise use of your money. Could you not find a better place to invest you money than in someone drawing pictures on you?
2. I see it as a worldly thing. We are called to be separated from the world, in the world but not of it.
Again, you are not prohibited by the Scriptures to do so, I just think it is unwise.
I would add that there may be a prohibition in Leviticus against it, but we are no longer under Levitical law. I would advise not to use Leviticus as a reason to do or not do something as a Christian, it simply opens a can of worms that the adversaries can use against you.

I think when you become a christian you should not want tattos. That doesn't mean I think you're damned if you have them, but I think if you don't have any, after you become a christian you will not want to practice this. Now there are people who have them before being saved & they don't realize at that time they will be changed & think differently later on. There are those who were in the military
who got tattos because it was a fad,& then
later in life when becoming a christian, they
wish they didn't have them. My husband was in the Navy & now he wishes he had never gotten them. But the Bible tells us God does
not look upon the outward appearance, and
I'm thankful He don't. He loves us anyway.
I don't look down on anyone who's a christian
and has tattos. I don't judge them.

i think of tattoos are stupid. i think of that Jesus tattoos are relatively stupid. as quickly as I see a youthful woman with a tattoo, I certainly have 2 questions. Is it genuine that individuals who've tattoos are greater possibly to be danger takers? {sure, that's genuine.] What plans do you have concerning to the way you will clarify that to your granddaughter? Tattoos would be everlasting, however the flesh that they are on isn't, so as that they fade and stretch, etc. yet I reject the "Your physique is a temple" argument via fact i won't have the ability to locate something that refers to it in the Bible. i've got self assurance that they are doing it via fact they suspect that they're going to get laid greater frequently with Christian women. I propose, women the two would desire to be comfortable or excited to get to the subsequent point. That decision is genetically desperate, i've got self assurance. So what must be greater thrilling to a Christian woman than a Jesus tattoo?

I am a Christian and I have a tattoo. I did the research to find out why people say that you shouldn't have tattoos. It is in Liviticus 19:28"You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead, nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord."
I created my tattoo. It is a religous tattoo symbolizing the blood of Christ, His return, a tsunami wave, Jesus in Hebrew, and the living water, also the alpha and omega in greek. My tattoo is part of my testimony and serves as a way to speak about Him without even opening my mouth. It has become a great way to share my faith and I find that even those who don't believe are at least intrigued by the design and symbolism. A seed is all it takes sometimes. The Lord is not confined in how he uses us, we confine ourselves. And Jesus LIVES, so that covered the "for the dead" part.

I have many tattoo's and wished now that I didn't have them. Most of the ones I have are satanic signs. I am so ashamed to have them, but I never knew I would be saved either when I had them done. I don't think Jesus wants us to mark our bodies up with anything. I have no scriptures to suport this.

Some Christians have tattoos. The Bible indicates it is wrong to mark your body in that way. The nice thing about being a Christian is we are forgiven when we sin. Christians that get "Christian" tattoos show their ignorance of Gods word.

Christians believe that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God. Since He resides in your body then to mark it or willfully do things to disfigure or damage it is considered an abomination....your body is a gift to you and a wonderfully created thing that you reside in...you shouldnt slap God in the face by acting like you can do anything you feel like doing with it. I dont think tatoos will damn u to hell no, but we should live and walk as if we understand the gift of our physical vessels.

well the bible does say not to mark your body in the old testament, but you will not go to hell for having one. I am a Christian and i have 5. and i am plannin on gettin another one. it doesnt matter what is on the out side its whats on the inside that counts. As long as you have Accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you are Fine. Dont let anyone put you down for having them. And if you feel bad about it, well pray and ask God to show you why you should not have a tattoo. the bible does not refer to it as tattoo though. all of my tattoos represent a timein my life, i have a dream chatcher with arm band as part of my native american indian heratige, i have a harley tattoo with wings and a halo in rememberance of my mom, a 3 heart with pruple roses and vines with all three of my kids names on it, and well a rebel flag heart tattoo with ladyrebel across the top as part of my southern heratige on it as well. i also have a tinker bell tattoo on my lower back because well thats my daughters nick name tink
but its your dicision if you want to get one or not. but do not let anyone judge you just because you have one or are getting one. Tattos people get are away of expressing themselves, or showing a certain time in their lives, they are not for decoration or to just fit in, remember they are permant and will be on you for the rest of your life her on earth. here is some helpful information on tatto shops. 1 go and visit the shop you are wanting to go to, check them out. make sure they are licenced by the state. 2 make sure they are using steralized equipment new needles, and gloves and make sure the gun they use is also steral. 3 check out there prices on what it would cost. 4 never get a homemade one done cause the person who would be giving it could be using a dirty needle. 5 get your tattoo. also see if they have pictures of tattoos they have given, most shops have a picture album with the tattos they have done, this gives you an idea of what type of work they do and helps you make your dicision on if they would do yours best. look around check them out and you can also ask ppl about the tattoo shops reputation. hope this helps

That decision is left completely up to you. It is the beauty of free will. No matter who tells you it's okay, or it's wrong, or Christians shouldn't or it's fine, the ultimate decision my friend, is yours. If YOU want to get a tattoo then get a tattoo! If not, then don't. It's that simple :)

I am a christian, and I also have a tattoo. I was not a christian when I got the tattoo. Now that I understand that our bodies are temples of Christ and we shouldn't defile them, I won't get any more. Fish or not.
