Dogs are pregnant for about 60 days, plus or minus. At 21 days or so you can have an ultrasound done to confirm pregnancy, or have a test done with your vet. At around 42 days or so you can do an X-Ray to see how many she is carrying... Though I would suggest having her spayed after this litter... Obviously you're not thinking about the over population of dogs in the US if you're mixing a German Shepherd with a Pit Bull.. Leave the breeding to the professionals and have her fixed as soon as those puppies are weened and in loving homes.

Most large breed dogs carry for 62-66 days. Smaller breeds usually carry for about 58-62 days.

A dog's gestation period is 60-63 days. You will see her appetite wane a day or two before she welps and her body temperature fall a little below the normal.
