if you take the 7 Train, it will take about 35-40 mintes to Grand Central.

you can also drive there by taking the LIE to the midtown tunnel, or you can take the Grand Central and get off to take the 59st bridge, or take the BQE to the Williamsburg bridge. Without traffice (4am on a Sunday!) it can be as quick as a 20 minute drive. With traffic, well, anywhere from 40 minutes to 90 minutes or more!

there are also some express buses like the QM2 that go to midtown, they take anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes depending on where they pick you up. they go through the midtown tunnel and to up 6th ave

Maybe 12 miles. Take the 7 train at Main Street in Flushing right to Grand Central or drive via Grand Central Parkway, Long Island Expressway or Northern Boulevard.

If you take the #7 subway, from midtown Manhattan to Flushing (Shea Stadium, U.S. Tennis Center), a safe estimate is about 30 minutes (faster if you take one of the "express" #7 trains that skips some of the local stops in Queens).

If you are driving, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to more than an hour depending on traffic conditions.
