Many religions and many Christian denominations have taken very different positions on when a fetus becomes a living human. This has varied from conception (popular with today's Protestant fundamentalists), to "quickening" (variously defined), and up to the moment of birth. It is fundamentally a religious question, which is why it is improper to use the laws to select one of those viewpoints and impose it on the population at large.
Your follow-up remark, like many where the "asker" tries to make a point by intentionally imagining an unsatisfactory response for its rhetorical question, proves nothing and begs its own question: at what point would you believe a fetus has become a fetus? Is it a fetus when it is a separate sperm and egg? Is it when the two come into contact? When the cell development begins? When the DNA first interact? At two cells? Four? A hundred?
I'll leave aside for now your apparent lack of knowledge on the subject of murder, except to point out that there is an intentionality inherent to the definition of murder that you seem to have forgotten or ignored. Check Black's Law Dictionary for a real definition, instead of continuing to craft your own pseudo-definition to suit the purposes of supporting an otherwise shaky opinion.

What a good question.
If death is when the heart stops then life begins with the very first beat within the developing fetus. The heart begins to beat at 4 weeks after conception but the fetus requires time to develop the heart for the life to begin beating within, does that mean the first four weeks within the womb there is no life (other than what the mother is giving), but a body developing for the body to continue to develop and the life grow, live and then go on to die?
Is it murder?
I'm a mother of 7 and totally disagree with abortion (that's why so many, lol). When I had my first child it took weeks to feel any movement but by the time I had my 7th I felt it at a few weeks pregnant, probably was about 4 or 5 weeks. A mild flutter but that was life I felt within.
hmmmm..... murder, who am I to say?

It's never just a glob. Why are people called "pregnant" when it's just a fetus (as some people say). Just doesn't make sense that it just suddenly transforms into a baby so it's ok to stop the process & kill it. It's a baby & ALWAYS a baby from day 1 NEVER a glob.

The heart is fully formed and beating by the time that the fetus is 21 days old. Many people believe that it is a human at this point, others don't believe it is a human until basically it starts to resemble one. I am with the group that believes it is a human as soon as the sperm hits the egg.
What makes humans unique is that we have a soul. When is there a soul present? At conception, at heart beat or when we look presentable to the naked eye?

no it is not just a glob it is onw with a soul...and aborting is not murder..it is choice that the woment take sfor her feotus..thats all if the child that is going to be born is gonna have tough life why let it come along but wait for the right time to bring it in..accidents do happen but then they r corrected by action called abortion..children are gods gift..agreed but whats the use of the gift if u cant cherish it??? think abt it!!

Yes, if you consider a fetus human or having a soul from conception, then it would be considered murder.
If it's not human, then it's just a developing human...an embryo. Have you seen pics of a developing baby? In the beginning, they are so tiny. You have probably squashed bugs that are bigger.

Abortion is murder. People say it's just a clump of cells when it gets aborted though. I guess those people are coldblodded, heartless murders.
