You took a puppy away from its mother at 2 1/2 weeks? The puppy isn't who needs training.

Unlike some of the others, I presume that there is a reason why the puppy is not with her mother. Or did you mean to say 2 1/2 months?

In either case, training dog is a misnomer. You actually train yourself to recognize natural dog behavior and then encourage your dog to mimic those behaviors. Pick a topic and work on it a few times each day for about 5 minutes each time. Longer times will frustrate you, and the puppy can sense that, which distracts the dog.

Good Luck!!

thats too young to take a puppy away from its mommy. You should bring her back so that she gets the nutrients from her mothers milk. I would seriously talk to the owner of that mother and tell them that they need to research when is the best time for the baby to leave its mommy. That person shouldn't be giving the puppies til 8 1/2 weeks. That person probably already gave the other puppies away. Just tell the owner that you read that its best for the puppy to stay with its mommy til 8 1/2 weeks.

You should not have this puppy yet since she is too youung to be separated from her mother. Take her back and pick her up when she is a minimum of eight weeks old. Then you can enroll in obeidiance classes so you and your dog can both learn proper care and actions.

This is especially important for a pit bull which has such an agressive instinctive nature. Taking this dog from its mother this early is likely setting you up for failure down the road and you need professional training aid as opposed to asking on yahoo answers.

How can you PURCHASE a 2 1/2 week old puppy??? You can't take any animal away from it's mother at that age! Bring it back to it's mother and let it nurse until it's time to wean it. That will be about 8-10 weeks. Then buy as many of them as you want.

You really shouldn't have a puppy that young. It needs to be with the mother to eat. You really should call a vet and get all the information you might need to have being that its so young. Worry about training early, but not this early. Give her a month to adjust to the new life she's in, she's probably scared to death right now.

First of all, you should NOT have a puppy that young. The breeder should NOT have sold it and you should NOT have purchased it. Are you giving her the proper diet? Are you feeding her milk designed for puppies her age? Are you feeding her the right amount and enough times a day? The LAST thing you should be worried about is training this puppy...

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMPcX

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
