It depends on whether the software is actually "free." If it's freeware (stuff that doesn't cost money), then use the site provided above. If it's something you have to pay, download BitTornado at www.bittornado.com , install it, then download the torrent of the software you want at: www.torrentz.com . Run the torrent, and it'll start downloading.

I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. you should get limewire too. It's a good peer to peer software if you have to download mp3, movies, videos or documents. Here you can find a good place where to download Limewire: http://j.mp/VMesNy
Limewire is a safe and reliable program but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. You always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.
It's a very good program and easy to use.

or you can go for isohunt.com but that is not legal thus I won't advice to do it really.

u can dl free software from bittorrent sites u need to instal in ur pc a bittorrent client like utorrent, azureus then sign up in any bittorrent sites search ur software dl the link open it in bt client and start dl
log in to btsites.tk it provides links to bt sites
