Tip here what you feel it's worth.
And if your not happy, don't tip her.
There is no obligation to tip. It is an earned bonus. If you are extremely happy, tip her all you can afford.
Think of an extreme number and work you way down. Would it be worth $100? No...how bout $60? That's a $10/hour bonus. But was she really working on you for 6 hours? How long was she working on other things while you were sitting in a chair waiting for something to set or dry or whatever?
Anyway...work you way down to a number your comfortable with.

Whoo Hoo, my mother used to do hair (she's gone now) and she never spent the better part of the day on one head of hair. Tipping $15 to $20 is not going to insult any reasonable stylist. Before you do that again, though, I would either ask for something a little less ambitious or check out another stylist. The full color, perm, and cut can take hours, but six!--try something else.

If she's working on your hair for 6 hours and getting paid $100, then that is $16.66 / per hour. That is pretty good money! I think that the tip should be however much you feel comfortable with. 15-20% is a good rule of thumb, anything over that is good will on your part.
By the way, what are you getting done to your hair???

I dont know the going rate in other places...but here in Texas it is usually 10% of the total cost. It all depends on how you feel after it is done. Did the stylist do a good job, did the stylist take their time..etc.

10%-15% is standard. If you feel the stylist did a particulkarly outstanding job, then tipping 20% to 25% is not uncommon

is the 100.oo going to a salon, or just strictly to her? did you really like it and did she do an excellant job?
