Sounds like an iguinal hernia, see a doctor imediatly, it can be fixed with excercises, or very minor surgury, then get a copy of the Weird Al Yancovic video " Living with a hernia" just for laughfs.

He's 18? In generally good health? I'd suggest he is old enough to decide for himself what he needs to do....Still, you can suggest that if he has a fever, nausea, anthing else that goes along with that belly pain, that the best person to help him would be a doctor.

It could be any number of things. He should go to the doctor immediately. The last thing you want it to be is an appendix rupture or gall bladder problem. Both of which have serious and sometimes fatal effects.

What can YOU do? are you a doctor? Before complete brain damage sets in, you both need to see a doctor; him first (cause he's in pain) and then you cause you don't have many brain cells working.I hope this helps.

Go to the emergency room, it could be several things, like a kidney stone, gall bladder appendix etc.

bring him to the hospital.
it might just be gas cuz sometimes apparently it can get very bad.
but it could be something more serious. give him some medication for pain in the meanwhile.

He probably should be checked for a hernia. Tell him to go the doctor. Breathing is one of those essential things. ;-)

how about getting him to the hospital? Why are you asking online instead of doing that? If he hasn't had his appendix out, he could be in trouble.
