that when they drive up to a house to pick someone up they just honk the horn instead of walking to the door?

That's not being lazy, that person is just plain rude and inconsiderate.

Maybe the person being honked at asked the person that is picking them up to honk their horn to let them know that they are there to pick them up.

Each apartment build where i live. there is someone honking to let them know they are there. Cant people wait outside or the person could walk up to the apartment and get them.

There are probably some people who think that's cool...I know exactly what you mean though, that's a pet peeve of mine, my direct neighbors are loud and that's something their friends do. For me, not only is it rude to the people around, but it's rude to the person you're picking up...if they didn't expect you to at least make an effort and get out of the car, they'd be waiting for you already.

I am with you on this. I think it is very rude for people to sit out in the car and lay on the horn. Besides being rude, it may wake up people who have to sleep because they work second or third shift.

Everything is made so we don't have to put effort into anything.You can roll down your window with a push of a button. We don't memorize phone #'s cause they are all saved in out cell phones. We have become a very lazy society.
