Not life on other planets, not stars, just other planets.

No. The eye-ball visible planets (Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn) were thought to be wandering stars... and the thousand or so visible stars were thought to be tiny lights affixed to the firmament... the solid barrier beterrn heaven and earth... in other words, the sky. They were put there by god to provide for omens and portents. (Some people thought that the stars were actually little holes in the sky, that let the 'light of heaven' shine through.)

Just to confirm what I just said, you may want to read about Giordano Bruno, an Itallian monk, philosopher and scholar. He made the mistake of hatching and promoting the idea that the stars were actually suns like our own, and that some of the might even have planets orbiting around them. That was a heretical idea, since it conflicted with Christianity's idea of a 'terrarium' universe, so, in 1600, with his tongue in a gag, he was hung upside-down naked and burned at the stake

Said with a smirk, please escuse my irreverence:

"No, the bible is the word of god, and as such is completly and unalterably true and accurate -- every sentence, and every word.

No mention of planets are made in the bible, and therefore, they do not exist. Clearly the sun revolves around US, and we are the purpose for the existence of the Universe. Do not listen to those people trying to sway you from the true path with seductive stories of "science" and "planets" and all of that nonsense. There is Heaven, and there is Hell, that's all you should be thinking about.

My advice to you is to spend more time reading and memorizing your bible, and less time watching TV, on the Internet, and Masterbating (I know that you do!)"

as i recall, the most enlightened version of the new testament, a book written by men with an agenda, states that there are no other planets, and, anyone who thinks that there are, is being tricked by the devil.

They still believed the world was flat at that time. No one existed if not on earth and within the distances they could travel at that time. So no
