I presume you are going as the '+1. It really depends on the type of wedding - is it a registry do or a full blown church wedding. I hate to be rude but also how old are you. (Well it has got to be a factor - if you're 60 your not gonna wear the outfit of a 16 year old are you!!) I suggest a lightweight dress or trouser suit in a neutral colour and if this weather continues I would make sure that you had a strappy top to it so that you could be cool. You can always put a light shawl or jacket over the top if it either turns chilly or looks out of place at the wedding.

Apart from smart clothes, try wearing a nice big smile and use it whenever you see someone at the wedding. Perhaps you will come away from the wedding knowing a lot of nice people!

Some people think that wearing black to a wedding is unacceptable, I on the other hand think black is perfect for any occasion. I think it is understated as not to compete with the bride or bridal party and looks great on anyone. I would go with something conservative and flattering to your body type, this will make you feel comfortable with what your wearing and give you the confidence to make new friends.

if you are like me and prefer trousers, then there is some really nice trouser suits out there. if it is a lavish wedding then you may get away with a trouser suite also as you get lovely ones in light- weight material. or you could go the full hog and wear a gorgeous dress and hat. hope you find something and relax and enjoy the day. remember it is the bride`s dress that everyone will be looking at.

A dress that suits you, long if it's an evening wedding, knee length if day. Don't wear black, if offends some people

Classic business attire in a muted color with modest lines. Like a simple suit (pants or skirt) with conservative accessories, hair, and makeup. Think Jackie-O new millenium style.
Can't go wrong with that!
