No. I was raised by my father. My parents divorced when I was just 3. Somehow my father won custody and my mom couldnt have cared less. He rwaised both my sister and I. We were latch key kids, walking oursleves to and from school from 1st grade on. He'd put us to bed every night and leave for the bar. So much more to all of that, but I will spare you. I somehow turned out pretty decent.
My younger sister on the other hand has many emotional issues. I am pretty well adjusted. I'm intelligent, responsible, and I think I am an all around good person. She, well, she didnt fair so well. She's pregnant with her 3rd child, (no idea who the daddy is), she lives at home with our mom, no job-ever!, CPS has taken her kids once already, and she's just a lazy piece of crap. I can seriously contribute most of this fom my father's child-rearing.
I think I need a therapist to talk to, maybe shouldnt be spewing family secrets on Yahoo Answers, eh? Ahh well. Hope I've answered your question well enough.

Unfortunately I didn't have a father, He walked out after I was born, I have never saw him in my life, I don't even know his name. Before I was old enough to ask my mother everything about him, She died when I was 5 years old. So me siblings and I had to move in with my aunt, and uncle. A year later he passed, So it was just my aunt She doesn't know anything about my father. So No I didn't have a mother or father in my house while I was growing up.

Yep. I'm 17, so I'm still growing up in a house with a mother and father. They've been together for 30 years, and married for 25years.. been together since my mum was 13, and got married when she was 17 lol.

My parents got divorced when I was 12. Before that they were both their when it was convenient. My moms new boyfriend moved in a week later. And though I resented him then...it didn't take me long to realize he was a great guy. Me and my dad grew very close and I was lucky enough to have two very strong male figures in my life growing up (my biological dad and my step dad) unfortunately I can not say the same thing about women as my mom and I to this day do not get along very well. And my dad though he remarried never married or even dated anyone decent.

Yes i did until i was in 2nd grade only though. It is a very tough thing to go threw and it might seem weird but it still kills me that they are apart. I am 20 years old now and think of them gettin back together sometime.

Yes I did. My family was very disfunctional anyway. My dad was an alcoholic. He was so mean when he was drunk and mean when he wasn't because he had a hangover. Sometimes it's better to get divorced. One good parent is better than what we grew up in. My mom was great but we would've been happier if she would've left.

Yes. My parents were married 29 yrs and only separated due to Dad's death. They would still be together today (46 yrs) if he were still alive.
Divorce was not an option to them. They learned how to work things out.
