There is no definitive proof that evolution is true. There are no transitional species i.e. half bird half fish remains in the fossil record. To this day, evolution is always refered to as a theory not fact.
There is, however, actual proof that Jesus once existed and even more evidence that the Bible is true with the support of physical evidence. Keep an open mind and check out
http://www.equip.org/
There are also other considerations. The universe is certainly set up by some design. There are laws governing every aspect of science. Change one aspect of these laws and the whole idea breaks down.
And if evolution is true....why don't we see species in transition today? Why would it just suddenly stop in some point of time? What are we evolving into if we came from apes? Do you see any evidence?
And to those who say that evolution and creation can be viewed and accepted from a Christian perspective are confused. Why would God use a method that leads to dead ends? By accepting evolution they are rejecting the account in Genesis.

Five ideas for you to think about:
1. People aren't "coming to Christianity". Jesus Christ has influenced all the World and all the religions. his legacy isn't and exclusive of Protestants or Roman Catholics.
2. The concept of Mankind having been created in God's own image was developed way before Jesus Christ was born. It has been proven wrong, beyond any doubt, by the study of human fossils. In our day and age, defending that concept should be considered a heresy. Why would God, an entity above all living things, look exactly like a race of smart hairless monkeys?
3. If you truly believe God is everything, you have to accept your own insignificance. You have to accept a God that created all the Universe and all it's creatures. Not just the small planet where you happen to live in.
4. Actually, Evolution is one of the best proofs of an intelligent role in the creation of life there is. The mere complexity of the process shows that life can't be explained by a random combination of molecules.
5. Unfortunately, some people (both scientist and "believers") insist they have to accept "one" single "truth" even when they know the solution is always somewhere in between.

You'll have the answer when you:
- reverse "evolution" and "Christianity" in you question
- and then answer it yourself
In short, people change their minds for good and bad reasons. You had to ask??? Or are you saying that the only good change is in your direction?
Last point. Where did you get the silly notion that "Christianity" and "evolution" are necessarily at odds? Wait! Don't tell me!! You're a "real" Christian and those others are not, right?
Give it a rest. It's an embarrassment to those who appreciate that God gave them a brain with which to pursue science.

Evolution happens regardless of people's belief in it. It's simply the way that species come into being over time. It's not a belief system, religion, or philosophy of life.
Many Christians understand the science behind evolution and don't deny that it exists. One hasn't got anything to do with the other.

Because Christianity(All religions actually) offer something Evolution can't which is a definite faith-based peaceful certainty that is soothing to people. Science is not democratic, scientists didn't vote to believe in evolution it just works after many tests and evidence points towards and evidence points against creationism. But the majority of scientist are spiritual people.

I am a Christian but evolution is true. Not the whole man from ape thing, but evolution is more than that. It is the fact that animals and evolve and more to different environments and even people can become smarter. Most people just think of evolution as man from ape, but its not really.

EVOLUTION
The introduction to Genesis and to the whole Bible ascribes everything to the living God, creating, making, acting, moving, and speaking. There is no room for evolution without a flat denial of Divine revelation. One must be true the other false. All of God’s works are good, great, wondrous, and perfect.
Man starts from nothing. He begins in helplessness, ignorance, and inexperience. All his works, therefore, proceed on the principle of evolution. This principle is only seen in human affairs: from the hut to the palace; from the canoe to the ocean liner; from the spade to the plowshare to machines. But the birds build their nests today as at the beginning. There is growth and development within man, but no passing, change, or evolution out from one into another.
For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be evident stages of evolution today. You would be able to find species in many stages of evolution in nature right now. For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be no God. And that’s exactly what evolutionists believe and are trying prove. The evolutionist bases his or her conclusions on human assumptions and reasoning, instead of on the documentary evidence of the manuscripts.

People can change their minds on subjects, nothing wrong with that. Especially if you really study evolution and realize it is as laughable as any other opinions of why we are here. The whole concept is full of scientific holes and actually would not qualify as science if it was treated as a true experiment. Non religous people (of any religion) just need something to believe in also.

If Christianity is true then why are some of you guys going to other religions? Why don't people stick to Christianity forever? Just because something is true or not does not mean people are always going to stay with it.

Evolution does not rule out Christianity. You can believe in science and still believe in God. Nowhere in the New Testament does it exclude the possibility of evolution. Evolutionists are not atheists. They are simply people who have made observations about the world around them.
