I trying to get pixel info from site because I lost the booklet, but not available in the specifications for my handycam. A friend tell me videocam not good for still shots because they not having high pixel. Please answer if you know something about this matter.

For some reason, the technology just isn't there yet to make a single machine that does both things well.
With a camcorder your still shots will always be crummy, and with a digicam the video mode is a joke.
With the Sony Hanycam DCR-HC96 for example, which is a really nice video recorder (on sale at Amazon for $700), the still shots are only 3.3MP. That's fine for 5x7 inch prints, but any self respecting photographer has at least a 6MP still camera. And that's not to mention all the functions that a dedicated camera has, and the responsiveness of a digital SLR. (If your into photography, $700 will get you a really nice Nikon D50 setup.)

Definitely pixels from the Handycam won't be good at all. I guess, the max resolution you would get would be 640 X 480. The main focus on a Handycam is not picture.

Whereas, a digital, has more than 1024 X 768. Also, the lens will be very good in DC.
