I am agnostic, and I love Christians and Atheists enough to not answer this question.

I'm not sure about all religions, but most have the code of 'love thine neighbour'. Following that code, most believers feel compelled to love, in which case what comes out isn't at all love, just some imitation.

I don't know about MORE, but I think Atheists are better at loving. Most of us don't feel obligated to love everyone that walks by, an thus we aren't spreading false love. We only feel the real thing.

In answer to your final question, love to me is the strong connection built in relationships (whether with family or friends or lovers). It's the feeling that you would go to the ends of the Earth for someone, and it's the fear of devastation when that person passes away. There is much more to love, but I fear I'd run a bit long, so I'll spare you.

There are two fundamental things that define love.

1. An emotional condition wherein the happiness of another person is more important to you than is your own.

2. Power and trust. If you really love someone, you will have opened yourself up to them, exposing the core of your being, thus giving them the POWER to hurt you with no more than a word... and TRUSTING them not to use that power.

"Who Loves more, Atheists or Deists?" That question is utterly stupid and irrelevant.

You can't love someone you don't know. At least atheists won't lie and say that we love you, because we don't.
Theists on the other hand will say anything to get you into the church and filling that collection plate...

It's not as much about love as it is respect. If you respect others then you have a good starting point. This idea of loving everybody is a bit hokey, let's be serious. But you can respect people until they prove you otherwise.

Is is caring and empathy for other people. Even commitment to them in special cases.

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......

(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.
