Story time!

When my mom and her brother (my uncle obviously) were little, they had one night a week when they could eat whatever they wanted. The trick was.. if they fixed it .. they HAD to eat it. My uncle, being the crafty little boy he was.. decided he wanted green eggs and ham, and he fixed it and used WAY TOO MUCH food coloring and apparently just did NOT do a good job at cooking this. But the rule was he HAD to eat it. Needless to say ... he HATES green eggs and ham.. and if we ever want to give him a hard time, we just buy him the Green Eggs and Ham book for Christmas... he probably has about 20 of those books.

hahahaha.

I however, have never had green eggs and ham.. so I dunno!

I love green eggs and ham!

My mother is a teacher, at the time she was a third grade teacher and her bestfriend and collegue was a second grade teacher. Donna, my mother's friend, was born on Dr. Suesse's birthday March 2nd. Every year my mother and Donna would plan on having a weeklong Dr.Suess celebration ending with cooking green eggs and ham on Friday.

Let me tell you, you end up with some great shades of green when trying to dye your food with the help of 60 little second and third graders. It was so much fun! Now every time I see the book or fry an egg I have to smile.

Green egg's and ham are a slam I am. I like to cook them in a pan with a little fried spam from a can.

Well I like eggs and ham, if the eggs were dyed green, it would be ok, but if they were green because they have gone bad, then no.

I had green eggs for st. Patrick's day! we had green beer too but no green hat. The eggs and beer were good tho! (sorry, I'm not creative enough to make this rhyme like Dr. Seuss's book)

An Aracona chicken lays green shelled eggs is the only one that I am aware. The white and yolk are the same as white or brown eggs.

So to answer your question, yes.

It all depends on the preparation. If food coloring was used, then yes very much. If they've simply turned green over a long period of time, then no thank you; but that has less to do with the coloring, and more to do with the inherent health risks.
