They already kill themselves by blowing themselves up with bombs etc. but why do not more of them just kill themselves to go onto the afterlife where things are better? They also claim they are not afraid of death so killing themselves would be no big deal.

Firstly I want to correct wiseangel.. Suicide is A SIN in Islam. We are not allowed to to that.
Aswering the person posted in this question, again I repeat that we can't kill ourselves. its againts the religion..
As you might aware, different people have have different kind of understanding and its very easy for a human to get misunderstanding about things. For example, your boss asked you to do something and you do it according to ur understanding, wouldnt the result contradicts with what your boss wants and what you did?
Its the same situation here. Some people has misunderstood islam and interprete it wrongly or juz follow what they understand without consulting more with other religious leaders. When thay take matters in their own hand without consulting, thats when problems sarts to arise.
Suicide is a sin in Islam. and killing other people is much much bigger sin. so all these people (may Allah frgive them) might interprete the religion wrongly. Or they could have been brainwashed since there is no other religious leader that they could look up to in their region.
I know this is insufficient to provide all the details about it but I do hope that I atleast has give you a clearer picture. Dont judge us, Muslims, from what the minority haf done.

Because taking ones own life is a sin and because human beings were sent to the world to live their lives according to the teaching of Islam to see who follows the right path and who goes astray and do NOT link terrorists with Muslims. I am simply amazed how ignorant and stupid people can be. Have you ever picked up a book about Islam and tried to understand what Islam is all about? Are you so vain that you would judge an entire community on the actions of the few?

Well Christians believe the afterlife is better as well. The only difference is that Christians think suicide is a sin and Muslims think it send you to glory if done in the name of religion.

Most religions feel life after death is a better place. So you feel better for the dieing ones. But a suicide is a ticket straight to the darkside of the force.

I am a Christian but I have nothing against muslims or any other religion. The great thing about this country is that we have freedom to be any religion we want. The only people i have anything against is terrorists...be they Christian terrorists who bomb abortion clinics in the name of God, or Muslim terrorists who hijack planes and crash them in the name of Allah. From what I understand, they believe that being a martyr will get them into heaven. Suicide in itself is not being a martyr...killing non-believers and dying in the process is.

listen you all need to get you facts straight about Islam-- Islam does not teach or promote people to be Suicide bombers any more than christianity promote preist's to molest little boys the people that do these things act on their own not in the name of the religion. last i check christanity believes the afterlife is better also and they have been around a lot longer than Islam in fact most religions teach that
