By removing all of the trash and just sticking to what is important ie the golden rule, the ten commandments, etc... I think that removing the Dogma of all faiths and comparing their life lessons side by side would allow us all to see a common message. Any thoughts? Any takers?

i personaly don't agree. If u unify the world's religions we will all be the same ..is like all of us having the same culture..and only one culture on all the globe. All the ppl will be the same. And second of all, ppl would not accept that..because it clearly means that they will loose in this process important aspectsof theyr religion just because those aspects do not agree with other religions..and who's gonna make the selection of the most important aspects would pe that impartial?

That would be lovely, unfortunately, I don't think it's possible.

To do that would require quite a few of them to water down their beliefs, and in essence, cease to be what they are, which is intolerant. Intolerance is a vital part of their faith. To be tolerant would be to accept the possibility that another faith might be right, and theirs could possibly be wrong.

If you want to take on such a difficult mission, I would suggest simply promoting agnosticism/atheism. In the end, that's where we will all end up, regardless. And that's just one small baby step from what you're suggesting right now.

That is impossible, How do you unite a Christian and a Satanist together? Or a Jew and a Radical Muslim?

"Lets all hum and chant to the 'great being'."

You are confussed, basically you want everyone to forget their beliefs and be a good deed atheist.

It just doesn't work, maybe one day you will see the Truth.

Jesus is Truth.

The only thing all the religions on earth have in common is the concept of faith, which is a niceer sounding word for "self induced insanity".

That would be a truly wonderful thing. I can not repeat these verses from the Bible enough, Luke10:49-50. And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us. Anyone that is arguing over their faith is definitely not following this. Jesus answered all of our questions through His Holy Word. We are to love one another, help our fellowman etc. This is the teachings of Jesus.

Not a bad idea, but not likely. People are too narrow minded that they wouldn't be able to co exist.
