What we see sticks to our memory. If you watch lot's of violent movies you will think violent things and perhaps become violent yourself. In Phillipians, I think it was, Paul says that whatever is good and holy and lovely and worthy should be what is on our minds... how do we get it into our minds and make it stay there? we look at things that represent that... a friend of mine watched a porno by accident when he was a child and though he hasn't watched like that since then, he can't get that image out of his head...
I think Jesus is telling us to be careful about what we look at because it will affect us deeply. After all, the visual senses are the most powerful of all.

21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

I have noticed that lots of people just seem to pick and choose and take the scriptures out of context. Very sad because it goes on to talk about how no one can serve two masters. If you love the light you will not fill your eyes with things that will bring you into darkness. You can't go to a strip joint on Saturday night and run into church on Sunday morning. Well, I guess you could but that would be somewhat double minded. When the scriptures themselves say that you cannot serve two masters. You will love the one and hate the other. So choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and mine---we choose to serve the Lord.

Jesus said that it would be hard for his followers to see how His unconventional teaching on security for the future could possibly work. So He used an analogy of the eye to teach a lesson on spiritual sight. He said that THE EYE IS THE LAMP OF THE BODY. It is through the eye that the body receives illumination and can see. If the eye is good then the whole body will be flooded with light. But if the eye is bad, then the vision is impaired. Instead of light there is darkness.

The application is this: The good eye belongs to the person whose motives are pure, who has a single desire for for God's interests, and who is willing to accept Christ's teachings literally. His whole life is flooded with light. On the other hand, the bad eye belongs to someone who is trying to live for two worlds. He does not want to let go of his earthly treasures, yet he wants treasures in heaven too. He lacks clear guidance since he is full of darkness.

if you look at that whole section, Matt.6:19-24, Jesus is encouraging believers to store up treasures in heaven for themselves. He's stressing the importance of valuing heavenly things and not earthly things that aren't forever. He is also reminding these people to be aware of things that can hinder spiritual growth. In your 2verses, Jesus is using phrases we can understand to explain spiritual things. We know a lamp to project light into darkness. He says if you use your eyes to see darkness (sin), then it can corrupt you. If you dwell on the things of God, though, "your whole body will be full of life."He wants Christians to project the spiritual light of life with Christ, just like a lamp is light in a dark place.

I believe he is referring to spiritual sight or vision. The light that shines or radiates from the soul illuminates and darkness disperses. Darkness does not comprehend the light. If you are spiritually in sin then your body will be full of darkness. As humans we look into peoples eyes, when we do this usually we can see the light of Christ or we see sadness and darkness.

Read verses 19-21 and you see He was teaching about where our treasure is. Now read verse 24 and you see He still is teaching about the love of money or earthly treasure. In between He is teaching the importance of understanding this teaching. Do you now SEE.

I beg your pardon, he did not tell me anything and never hear him saying anything to noone. You are just copying words from a fairy tale written by man to dominate other man,

Even if you do something that's a little bad or little sin, it's still a sin.....so until you repent, it will cover you with darkness!

God bless!
