Just tried Shiang Garden in Richmond.

A little pricier than other places but this has been the best dim sum i've tried in the Lower Mainland.

Floata in Chinatown at 400-180 Keefer St,
A top HK Dim Sum restaurant branch in Vancouver. I've eaten there and it was great. It is no secret though, so expect lots of people there, especially on peak time. There are many really good DimSum places which are less impressive, like the vegitarian Dim Sum on Pender west of main, and many in the Kingsway Bby-Van border which serve delicious Dim Sum.

When we were last in Vancouver we went to Chinatown and asked several non-restaurant merchants and also some Chinese store owners and employees elsewhere. More recommended a place on Victoria than any other. We went on Sunday and it was indeed extraordinary. I'm so sorry I cannot remember the name of it. It was on the east side of Victoria (the right side heading north towards downtown) and as I remember the cross streets
were the higher 20s.

it is always full of Chinese and that shows that it is a good one.
