Can anyone vouch for the non-Defender 90?
If so, what should I look out for when buying one?

Any answer is better then Heathers normal crap answers.
I can not vouch for it but I will say to go to a Land Rover forum and check what everyone is talking about.
I am sure you will get the best answer from a group of owners then you ever would in here.

expensive everything if you got money get it you will need it for gasoline, parts, emission compliance, and for the chicks you gotta pay to get in it.................

They pollute the environment...and do you REALLY need all that space? Please. Buy a Prius or something.
