So men and women are so different this way. But the "ideal" is the same. . .love and sex should be together. . .biologically speaking, women "receive" so they are generally more in touch with (or at least more aware) of this ideal, while men "give" so they may or may not be. . .unless love (or at least respect) is involved. . .which tends to equalize (and stabilize) the relationship.
The question that you are partly hinting at is. . .can you find your true love without knowing up front if you are going to be sexually compatible with him or her? For today's society is very focused on the fact that sexual compatibility only comes from experience: monogamous oriented "hook ups". . .which could become more. . .but, if not compatible (and one falls out of love), then. . .wrong partner. . .and in time. . .next try! No, this is not sluttery for either male or female. . .it is "fear" of how to address this important question without experience that. . .on the first time. . .may cost one or both their virginity.

I want to lose it and for it to be SPECIAL. I'm not like gonna go around at school pick out a guy and drag him to the bathroom or anything. Special. And its kinda hard to make that kind of thing special if you don't know the guy really well so I'll say "yes", it is important to be in love. The one? You can hope, but everyone's getting divorced these days so "the one" is a concept thats starting to get kind of cloudy...

You have asked a very good question here...I would say it is important to a woman to lose her virginity to the person, yes she loves AND feels comfortable with. It isn't important that the man not be a virgin but that he is tender, caring and gentle.

It is so interesting to me that we use the phrase: "lose their virginity". This is primarily, although not exclusively, used in reference to women. I think this reveals our collective mindset.
I recently came across an interesting statistic tha comes from the U.S. Census Bureau. The median age of men at their first marriage has moved from age 23.2 in 1970 to age 27.1 in 2003.
What could be the meaning of this trend. Understanding that such trends are multifaceted in their causes I, nevertheless, make the point that a large part of the cause is the availability of sexual relations to young men. As women have been willing to give themselves freely to young me the demand for marriage among men has decreased.
There is so very much at stake when we handle sexuality so casually. Sure we can do it; but is it wise? Me thinks not.

The best way for a woman to lose her virginity is to her husband. It seems as if the world has completely forgotten God's plan.

it's important to a girl to lose hers to the "one"...as for teh guy losing it...some girls think that's better but some girls also like a guy with some experience under their belt.....makes it less akward I would think if one of them knows what you're doing.
