I want to download the game Mugen, only if the stuff is safe (virus, trojan, spyware free)

Downloading anything is risky, including drivers and software from reputable sites. P2P networks are a gamble, many games uploaded have viruses or malware in them, by accident or design.
Install an antivirus program and scan anything before installing it, no matter what the source.

You should download software from the official company's websites. That way you're guaranteed that there are no viruses (what company in their right mind would put viruses in their products?). Usually, you get viruses from personal websites that offer to give the service for free. Be careful of those...

WinRar is absolutely safe. I've never even heard of the other ones.
