I think if you are married and it is ok to get pregnant, but you'd rather not at the moment, it's fine. My husband and I are doing that right now. Our daughter is 5 months old and I am back at my pre pregnancy weight. We want to wait till she is one year to actively try again, but if it happens earlier, that's fine too. I had friends who used that method for 5 years and no pregnancy till they were actually trying. And as long as you are married, you don't have to worry about the STD thing.

Not very effective at all. The problem is that a guy CANNOT feel when they "pre c u m", no matter what they say. Therefore some sperm may enter your body and cause a baby.
Use birth control pills too, talk with your doctor. Also make sure you both have been tested for STDs.

Fine if you want to be called "Parents".
Effectiveness
81% - 96%. Not effective against sexually transmitted infections.
Reason not recommended for teens
Some men lack the experience and self-control to pull out in time.

Some men have been known to say they will pull out, and then they get so excited and carried away that they don't.

Some men cannot tell when they are going to ejaculate.

Some men ejaculate very quickly, before they realize it.

Before ejaculation, almost all men leak fluid that can cause pregnancy.

The "withdrawal method" isn't birth control...it's stupidity and ignorance. IUDs, condoms, birth control pills, birth control patches, diaphrams, etc. ARE birth control.

How soon did you say you wanted to become a parent?

Honestly, that's insane to think withdrawal will work. Your playing with fire using that method.

0% effective. you might even spill some on her upper inner thigh and BAM daddy city for you! Use a polyurethane condom. Transfers heat, and is a great barrier method.
