I am getting a degree in Architectural Engineering and while I am too far along to quit, I plan on looking into something else after I graduate because I'm just plain bored with it. I made a hasty decision and chose the wrong career path.
I love to workout and plan and organize workouts and meals.
I confess it's almost borderline obsession. I figure I might as well look into making my hobby work for me.

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Becoming a Personal Trainer for Dummies by Melyssa St. Michael, Linda Formichelli
* Certified Fitness Trainer Career Starter by Lauren Starkey
* Start Your Own Personal Training Business by Entrepreneur Press
* It's More Than Just Making Them Sweat: A Career Training Guide for Personal Fitness Trainers by Ed Thornton
* The Personal Trainer Business Handbook by Ed Gaut

I also posted links to some free articles in the source box.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I highly recommend getting a certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) or AFFA. You want a nationally recognized certification that people are familiar with. To be honest it takes a lot of work and time to be successful as a trainer. If fitness is your passion you will do well, but it may take a year before you build-up enough clients to support you. You may have ups and downs in your business and usually will not have a benefits package as a trainer, since most jobs are contract work. This is nothing you should do on a whim. Make sure it is what you want, but it is a great job helping others achieve their dream of living healthy lifestyles.

the 1st 10 weeks are needed for him to be socialized. If the breeder did no longer do a sturdy activity, you're already in the back of the 8 ball. We have been given our Dalm/ Pit domestic dog at 6 weeks from a defend (somebody became the full clutter in). He replace into somewhat loving and affectionate with our family and canines, yet after approximately 4 months he could attempt to attack just about everyone else that got here to visit, and god forbid somebody walked their canines previous our domicile. He replace into on a series, in a fenced in back backyard, whilst 2 little females walked their shelties with the aid of out front. He ripped the chain out of the floor, and drug it with him mutually as he jumped the fence attempting to get to them (6 months previous). Thank goodness the chain wrapped around a shrub and he have been given caught. Or it could have been a important concern for each man or woman. We did a number of forms of training with him to attempt to repair his agression (usual instructions, then specific private instructions run with the aid of the defend we've been given him from). Then he went with the aid of the front demonstrate screen door on the little deaf lady who lived around the line (who he frequently enjoyed). thankfully i replace into out front and caught him before he caught her. It broke my coronary heart, yet I had to place him down. I doubt very plenty he had any socialization before we've been given him (he have been given much whilst we did). And Dalm/Pit isn't the main sturdy blend of canines besides (from what i've got heard because). He had some undesirable wiring. Agressive canines many times purely get extra agressive as they become previous. optimistically your coach can help you "fix" him. yet whilst no longer, you would be able to finally come to the comparable complicated determination I did. If he bites the incorrect man or woman, you may desire to lose each little thing. I wish you success.
