Yes, if the oil from the poison ivy plant hasn't been washed off the infected persons clothes, shoes, body. The oil can pass from clothes of the infected person to another person, same as person to person.

Poison ivy is only contagious from one person to another if they still have the poison ivy oil on their skin... by the time it actually becomes infected and breaks out, it is all absorbed by the skin. So, if you touch someone who already has broken out, they you have nothing to worry about.

Remotely possible (if you JUST got into it), but highly unlikely.
Here's some info from the Poison Ivy Info Center...
"Rubbing the rashes won't spread poison ivy to other parts of your body (or to another person). You spread the rash only if urushiol oil -- the sticky, resinlike substance that causes the rash -- has been left on your hands."

Now i don't want to be rude but everyone who says it is but they are all very WRONG!!!!trust me I've gotten info from tons of websites and they all say its not contagious...now if u don't believe me type that question in on yahoo and check out some websites and you'll see that they all say its not contagious...sheesh some people just act like doctors saying YESSSSS trust me lol...just trust me and check it out

only if they haven't washed or changed clothes. the affected area and the clothing should be washed immediately.

yeah sometimes if you are alergic to it that way!! My cousin had it but i was around her and i didnt get it b/c im not alergic to it that away!!
