Okay i'm with this great guy he is really independent though. For some reason i have this urge to buy him things i want to buy him something all the time but i don't know how he will react i don't want him mad at me because i get stuff for him i mean he has money and a job but i want to spend MY money on him he has already said it kinda makes him uncomfortable but i swear i can't stop! HELP?

Sounds to me like you are an extemely giving person and you are trying to gain his approval does he make you feel needed or are you just not sure of his feelings for u? i am employed and have my own money and i dont think i would be offended if my girl if i had one bought me stuff. i think you are insecure in your relationship with him. sounds like u love him and want him to want you as much but u feel as if he does not want u as much as u want him please resond to me as i would really liek to be a help if i can thanks stanton shoemaker u can find me under my name in yahoo 360 pages or e-mail me at stantonshoemaker@yahoo.com

Sounds like you're a bit insecure about where you stand in this relationship. Trust me! The independence is a GOOD THING! Spend your money on something else.

Let him know that you buy him things cause you care about him and you understand that he can do it for himself. Tell him it makes you feel good to buy him things and that you aren't meaning to make him feel uncomfortable. Or you can stop buying him things. Buy him things for occasions.

Tell him that you had it laying around the house, and that you didn't spend any money on it...you found it and thought of him! At least he won't feel uncomfortable thinking that you spent money on him. :-)
