My dog coughs and hacks which causes him to throw up. I noticed it more when he goes from extreme temperatures to another. Like now it is 100+ outside and 70 in the house. He does it in the winter to. Spring and fall he is usually fine.

R u absolutely sure its asthma? Bcuz, at certain times of the yr, my dogs sound like they're having asthma..like they're having a hard time breathing. There's a flap that seperates the breathing tube, and food tube, sometimes the flap flaps around n it makes it hard for them to breathe n so they sound like they're having asthma attacks. Mine do that during the spring time.

If it's a major problem, then u can have that flap fixed by surgery at the vets. But, it happens to dogs, its especially normal at dog farms. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though I know you feel scared n worried at times about your dog. The best thing u can do, is pet the dog n comfort it while it goes through that asthma type of thing.

It could be allergies. A cat I used to have had the same problem. She had to take allergy pills and had to take breathing shots sometimes. She was diagnosed by our vet.

He definately has developed an allergy, you need to ask your vet , or put him on inhalers., A vet would amswer that one to the point.
