i am in mexico, and i saw kangaroo meat being sold in a meat store. i just wanted to know if it was legal to sell it here...

Maybe not illegal but seems darn mean and unnecessary.

In the US it's state-by-state and species specific. California has a specific prohibition on the sale or importation of products from kangaroos. Not sure about all the other states. A couple of species are listed as endangered/threatened, and any product from these species are banned in the US.

Farm raise kangaroo meat is legal. You can buy that....and it taste like chicken.
