When I come back to America after being in Thailand for a while, I always feel sick and can't eat "normal" food without being sick. Is this normal?

I've heard this is because different parts of the world have different types of bacteria in them. That is, all places have little bacteria, but your body gets used to one and can have a hard time switching.

Probably you were bitten by a mosquito, or anything you might had eat. When you go to other places and get bitten by a infected mosquito, they inject in you a parasite and this parasites can grow in you body very fast, There many kind of parasites that you can imagine that affect the American people.. Different food is a shock to your body. Getting sick is your body adjusting. Generally, you will be sick for a bit if you totally change your diet

Did you drink the water, or have ANY drinks served with Ice-Cubes? Did you brush your teeth with Thai water, etc?

It's traveling jitters...were you nervous to get on the plane, maybe you have a virus?
