ive always loved RSXs and Tcs but maybe someone has a better idea for around $12,000 i can go lower but no higher than $13,000

Don't buy new, you take too big of a hit on depreciation. You loose TON of money as soon as you drive off the dealer lot. I would do a Power Search on AutoTrader.com. Just put in your zip code, price range, body style, etc. and see what cars come up that fit your budget. It's a great tool for refining your search.

i am sure your not going to an RSX or tC for that amount unless it is used and more than a year old . here are my recommendations: ford focus or scion xA,xB have to negociate a little bit on some of the cars. avoid chevys and neons they will give you some mechanical issues

Check out the Dodge Caliber, it starts around $13,000.

If you want a good, reliable car, think about a Hyundai Elantra (they also have a cheaper one, I think) or a similar Kia. You can get your best price on any car through www.carsdirect.com

get a used cadilliac. you can get a 2000-01 deville for about that.
