I did weight watchers (no meetings - just bought cookbooks, got instructions, etc). I loved the recipes. I lost about 60+ lbs and have kept it off for 3 years. I don't consider myself dieting anymore. It's maintaining my weight and it is a life change - you have to "think different" -- I'm in a less active job right now so I'm REALLY paying attention to how tight my pants are, etc. I enjoyed the diet because you don't starve. PLUS you can buy Healthy Choice meals at the store (for lunches) and they have points on them. I don't count points anymore - just until I got to the weight I needed to be. Then just being careful during the week and eat a little for fun stuff on the weekend.

That's a tough question. Everyone is different and you have to do what works best for you.
Like most women I've tried just about every "diet" out there, but finally found the one that works for me. Weight Watchers. What I like the most is I don't have to cut anything out. I can eat what ever I want. I just have to plan my meals and snacks a little better than I normally would. I don't starve myself. I eat 3 meals a day and usually 2 or 3 snacks. The key is portion control.
I've been on Weight Watchers since January and have lost 28 lbs and 23 inches. I also exercise at least 3 days a week.
I also tried something new this time. I took "Before" pictures. Front, side, and EVEN back view! I measure, weigh every month and take new pictures every couple of months. It's amazing to see all of the changes!
Find what works best for YOU. Good luck!

Exerecise regularly such as walking, exercise bike, elliptical, they burn more calories and it's good for your heart and overall health.Stop eating prosscessed food and eat natural foods that are low in fat, sugar, carbohydrates but high in fiber. Don't drink diet soda or regular soda stay away from juces that have exrta or added sugars natural or artifical, natural is high in carbs artificial are toxic and cause more problems. Drink water it is the best for you. Just get active and stay with it. Keep a record of what exercise you do and when you do it like marking it down on a calender this seems to help motivate you and keep you motivated. Most of all set your mind to doing this. It's not easy to lose weight but it can be done. It's not going to happen overnight or in a short time but if you stick with it you will see results and you will feel better look better and be more healthier and happier. Diet plans well they have never worked for me because you go on a diet for a certain lenth of time then you go off and the weight starts to come back. It' s a lifelong change that you have to make that you have to do from now on.

I agree that good old exercise coupled with eating well is the best route, but there is a book out there that incorporates both -- it's called "The Abs Diet" and it was written by one of the chief editors of Men's Health magazine (but the diet works just as well for women). It's a common-sense approach that challenges conventional diets, doesn't restrict any one food group, and is easy -- you don't have to be a great cook or shop for all kinds of exotic foods or ingredients. The book is available at just about every bookstore you care to name, or you can order it online at www.rodalebooks.com

The best diet plan is just to eat less and eat healthier. All the other ones lack everything your body needs and may make things worse. And exercise!

Weigt Watchers. I have beend doing this since April and have already lost 20 lbs. You don't want to do fad diets because it is so hard to keep the weight off. You want to do something that you can do the rest of your life that will still allow you to have foods that you love, in moderation.

It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Plus click on "Pure Water" to make sure the water you drink doesn't hurt you. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.
