hmm.. most people will agree/identify with their own family than someone else's.... because they grew up with those people, and formed a strong bond, are shaped and taught by these people... you are marrying someone who has become the person she is BECAUSE of the family around her. if they have done a good job, she is a good person, and therefore it's more often than not that she will listen to those people she has listened to her whole life. eventually, the ideal is that family has shaped you to be able to form your own opinions and thoughts on what's right or wrong, so she won't just agree w/ her parents...if ur parents are right in the situation, hopefully she'll be able to be objective and see who's right or wrong. but in typical situation, most people are blind with love for people in their family, etc. there are many men who do same thing (ie called "mama's boys") who will take their mother's side over their wife!! a mother will always look after her son's best interests, but not always the daughter in law.... hopefully u can be able to communicate w/ ur spouse and reach a compromise, instead of taking sides JUST because they are "a family member".

Because they know them since they are young. Husband's famiy are actually strangers to her unless she gets to know them, yet they might not like them.
