If Islam is for peace & tolerance, why don't more clerics/imams speakup against the terrorists in their midst?

WHY DO THE ANSWERS THINK THEY HAVE TO PUT DOWN THE ASKER WHO ASKS A QUESTION RATHER THAN ANSWER THE QUESTION TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY. PEOPLE WHO DO THIS WASTE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THEIR POINT AND INFORM THE ASKER AND ANYONE ELSE WHO LOOKS AT MY QUESTION AND THE RESPONSES. BY THE WAY THE USE OF CAPS IS INTENTIONAL BECAUSE I AM FED UP WITH IMMATURE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY! If I use the comparative "more", that should indicate to you that I am aware that some Imams do speak up against terrorism committed in Allah's. The point of my Q is that the numbers are not large. Someone has mentioned that the US news organizations do not cover them. I believe that is the most likely explanation; that, and that fact that the terrorists aren't above going after the members of their own religion who are opposed to them.

I mentioned the sources of my news and it far from racist! This same type Q was asked about rabbi's and It drew 2 pro-Israel answerers who accused me of being pro Islam as many here claim I am pro- Jewish. All I did was ask a focused Q and that Q was used by most answerers to infer attributes about me the asker. This is clear evidence of pre-existing biases in the answerers and a tendency by them to interpret such Q's incorrectly without any factual basis. Useful exchange of information and opinions is impossible if the Q's and the questioners are attacked this illogical way.

This question has been posted numerous times, and it's obvious that the authors of these questions would rather listen to arguments against Islam rather than for it.

If you are actually one of the genuine authors that wants to know the answer to this, it's because they don't report it occuring in the news.

Imams and Islam stand for peace, and when they teach peace, the media won't listen. I haven't to this day once met an Imaam that hasn't taught peace between all religions.

cuz u don't listen. I go to the Masjid every friday, and the Imam keep changing, and they are all anti terrorists. Give me the names of 50 Imams you have seen in person. Then give me 25 examples of Imams in America who haven't been anti-terrorist. If you can do that, I will accept that you are right, and that 1 out of every 4 people blows people up if they don't accept their religion.

Which country is attacking in the name of peace and justice? Who is raining 500 pound bombs on innocent civilians? Who is using Phosphorous (Chemical weapons) on innocent people. Which is the only country to use WMD on another country killing over 100,000 people? Which is the only country who holds hundreds of people in prision without a fair trial (Guan. Bay). Which peaceful Christian stood up after 600 years of slavery. They only encouraged it. Who put the innocent Japanese into concentration camps? History is very clear and filled with non-Muslims who love to bomb, terrorize, torture other innocent people. Just look at who is causing all the violence and war then ask you questions. I don't hear any Christian clerics speaking out against Bush and Israel. THose imams they speak out against terrorism when every act of terrorism is committed. They just don't show it in the news. if you have no knowledge about something,I advise you not to speak about it . of course they speak up against them and attack them for their violence and misunderstanding to the pure Islam and when they are found they are punished hardly by all the people who hate them for killing innocent people and of course allah hates them and will punish them one day and put them in hell.
