Well, this could be a number of things. Your best bet is to go to a Doctor and have a physical and some blood work done. In most cases, the feeling of always being cold is due to poor circulation. However, it could mean that you do not have enough body fat. You may also be anemic, in which there are low hemoglobin levels in the blood. This is mainly caused by not eating and/ or absorbing enough iron. Are you a vegetarian or on a diet? If so, this could be one of the causes of anemia, since you are probably not eating foods rich in iron (i.e. red meat, dark green leafy vegetables). This could also explain low body fat.
Do you have any other symptoms besides feeling cold (i.e. fatigue, weight loss, dizziness)? When you do go to a Doctor, make sure that you tell him/ her all of your symptoms, eating habits, and exercise habits.

Feeling cold in your extremities can be a sign of poor circulation, especially if you are a smoker. Other than that, you could be dehydrated or suffer from anemia (low iron levels from low hemoglobin levels in your blood). Go to your odctor and tell him. He should work up a blood test for anemia, and then you would have your answer.

well, i had always stayed cold, my fingers would freeze and my nose would hurt, and i would be standing outside in the summer. go get your blood iron count checked. its anemia (anemic). i would wear sweats and a long shirt during the summer and i knew something was wrong, so i went to my docs and thats it. so go get yourself checked. its nothing too bad, just need to keep up with iron and potassium to keep your blood thick.

Get tested for anemia, but I'm not a doctor. lol.
It could be that, and if you are taking blood thinners for a medical reason, that could be a cause of it too.

In addition to anemia...you may not be eating enough. Calories are energy units....your body NEEDS them to function as well as maintain body temperature.
