This is the scenario:

You have been on a date or been clubbing and met someone special. Maybe things worked out or maybe it didn’t but you definitely had an experience that you’d want to share with your friends.

The website will allow you to write journal entries of previous dates, girlfriends and boyfriends. You’ll be able to create your own profile, produce a journal entry of a previous date or ex girl/boyfriend, create an avatar and alias (instead of a photograph and real name of the ex girl/boyfriend), rate it, put a comment and share it with other users/friends in your network.

The essence of the site is self-education and sharing your experiences. Dating is an education experience, preparing you for your best partner. The site could answer questions such as "what did I learn in dating this person?"

That my friend is genius - you know you are on to the new Friends Reunited here - you could have a kind of boy/girl blog as you say. Fantastic - I like it.
I do think though that you should get some pictures on there then at least the person being "RATED/JUDGED" could get to respond and you could really have some interesting blogs then! Go ahead - do it - and remember us when you are dining with Billy Gates.....

If you're suggesting an idea for a website, something like that would be only be worth it if the people on the site were dating each other and that in itself could be trouble. I mean if I just post about some girl I went out with called Anya and write about her, if you don't know her and will never meet her it's just me benifitting from the experience, so why should I bother writing about it?

I've seen some out there, but I would not at all participate because all the guys I've dated weren't significant enough to be immortalized and written about. Plus, I think those things bring out the worst in ones character. It's sometimes entertaining to see (like a bad episode of Maury's "You Are Not the Father" episodes) but tacky none-the-less.

I would not want everyone to be able to see it. I would keep it private and only allow those people whom I trusted or no one at all. I already keep a paper journal and I don't let anyone see that. You never know who you might end up dating (one of your friends maybe) or who might see the journal.

"The essence of the site is self-education and sharing experiences?" Let's keep it real. It's really about kissing and telling right?

If after a breakup you cannot think about what I contributed to either build the relationship or bring it to its demise without posting your business and theirs mind you...I feel sorry.

I don't think I could do that. There are only a few people that I talk about my relationships to anyways so it's not like im missing out on something. I'd rather keep my personal life as personal as I can.

wouldnt want people knowing the ins and outs of my business, unless they were my close friends so no to this online journal thing. Yahoo Answers is as far as it gets with personal experiences

Never Never Never - what happens if the other person/persons 'guess' that you would do this sort of thing and work out who you are and which is your diary - It can be and has been done. Always be careful what you write online and be aware that anyone can read it!

Why would anyone need this new website if they had friends to discuss things with?

Seems a bit childish, you'll probably get 13 year olds discussing the fit guy in class and 'what does it mean when he buys you McDonald's milkshake?'

Good idea in theory, but in reality this is one to aim at school kids.

It sounds like people would use it but I dont think it's very respectful. Because even if the person in say Ohio dosent know who your talking about everyone you know and possibly he knows will know what your talking about. And some information should just be kept private.
