Well you might want to switch on the Air Conditioner at 118-119 degrees. Also with the smog advisory and the humidity the heat is very dangerous for the kids.

Letting your kids get in the pool would b best because the water will cool them down just make sure the water is cold or more so on the cool side rather that the warm side. Also make sure the put on the waterproof sun block cause u could still get sunburn.

OK yes let them in the pool but use huge amounts of sun block on them also keep them hydrated with lots of water and things like gadtor aid monitor how long they are out and do it in intervals of maybe 45 min at a time so as to avoid heat stroke
Have fun

Yes. I think it is okay if they go to the pool but they need to keep sun block on as well as drink plenty of water (Not pool water) to keep themselves hydrated. I would not let the visit to the pool be an all day thing either... They need some alternatives.
You could also take them outside and hose them off ;)

Yeah, just apply a couple of bottles of sunblock on each of them. The pool is the best way to cool off, better than a/c.

Of Course, just put sun tan lotion on them (SPF of 45) and have them apply it every 1 1/2 hour or so and they will be fine. If no Sun Block or lower SPF they should be ok, maybe a little burn but you live and learn.

i would wait for it to cool down a while. i mean i'd hate not letting my kids go to the pool but there's a fine line between being over- protective and being safe and not letting them go to the pool is safe. but no matter what make sure they have sunscreen.

yes, unless you are in australia. if you are in australia, try to wait until after 2:30pm local time, then let them go during the hottest part of the day (but not the most dangerous time for skin cancer).
yes, let them go.

I think you should make your own decisions about your children's welfare instead of pushing the responsibity for your offspring's upbringing onto the users of yahoo answers.
