You don't mention how much milk you baby is getting? Babies this age need to have about one pint of milk per day. You may be getting him to take that with what you are doing and if he is healthy etc there is not a lot you can do. They are wee rascals and you can't make them do something they don't want to do! It is probably just a phase and if you keep offering it to him he may go back to it. My daughter at that age just had an 8oz bottle of milk when she woke up and then breakfast about an hour after that. Then an 8 oz bottle to go to bed at night. A couple of oz in her cereal and that was the pint for the day. You could try cutting back on the food slightly and see if this helps.

If he's happily eating yoghurt and dairy, there's no problem. Plus as you know you can make his cereal with milk.
Instead of worrying about this, just offer him a wide range of foods to try so he doesn't get faddy when he's 3. At that age they become suspicious of new things (its to help keep them safe as they start to get moreindependant).

It's recomended that babies drink 36oz (4 full 9oz bottles) of formula until they're a yr old. mixing it in food or cereal is a good idea. i have a 6month old who also loves his food, i give him a bottle during the day if he'ss have it and every night at bedtime and also if he wakes during the night.

Switch from Formula to whole mike. He should be getting enough nutrition from the food now.

I kept my first two on formula for 14 months and they were fine. My neice was on it for only six months and she is fine. She is a Chubbster though! But as beautiful and healthy as she can be!
