no not really, kinda sounds like Sleep apnea. If you wake up thru the night for no reason it might be sleep apnea... you quit breathing for a second or two or a lot longer... therefore you really dont get good rest However it could be a number of things... this is the first thing that comes to mind.

you may want to goto a clinic that will test you for this

You bet it is. See a doctor, try to get on some TEMPORARY
medication like Lunesta or Ambien- take it just long enough
till you can feel yourself beginning to feel like you can now fall asleep without it. Actually, you might not even be a "true
insomniac", maybe you just have what's called a little sleep disorder. Whatever, try the meds, and stop worrying about things if that's what you do- it won't do anything but make you worse.

This website will answer all of your questions: http://emedicinehealth.com/insomnia/article_em.htm
It gives you symptoms, and causes and what to do, etc...

Most likely, you do, but I'm not a doctor so I wouldn't know. Try changing your diet (drinking more water, more iron, etc) and making yourself a sleep schedule. I would also try Tylenol PM or another OTC Sleep Aid, but you should always ask a doctor first.

I hope this helps, and good luck getting some sleep!

Sounds like it. You might want to check Web MD for tips on how to fight it. I would try bewing physically active during the day, relaxing during the evening and not getting nervous about it, just drifting off to sleep. They say if you are not sleeping, though, get out of bed and read or something until you are sleepy. Are you having a hard time emotionally with something? this can cause problems too. If it gets really bad ask a doctor about it. Good luck.

You could have sleep apnea. Usually it occurs in older people though. ANd is more progressive in men. There are alot of other syndromes as well. You could have restless leg syndrome as well. Also could be depression or anxiety. You can go to the doctor and he will schedule a sleep lab if he feels it is necessary. I do not think it is insomnia.

It may be or you may just have some anxiety or depression that keeps you up or just have trouble staying a sleep.. There are many drugs out there to get your max 8 hours of good sleep.. I personally have taken ambein and am curretnly on Trazadome, these are doctor precribed. There are over the counter drugs, such as benadryl or tylenol pm that works great too.
