Probably anything where you do not get to use your mind. Something where you are just entering numbers. A job where you do thing same thing constantly and it does not change. Anything repetative where you do not get to interact with people. After going to school for years and you do not get to use your brain. When you have mastered a job so well and a work place does not let an employee cross train into another field.
Data entry with billing codes can be really boring. Certain aspects of being a pharmacist or pharmacy tech can be really boring, certain aspects of being a library tech can be really boring, working in a factory that makes computer chips like intel can be really boring, phone jobs can be really boring. You can try to make jobs better, but some just rot your soul after a while. working at the post office can be really boring.
Watching a security camera for 8 hours a shift. Working night shifts alone when there is nothing to do as a phone operator can be really boring.

~~Any job can be boring if you are not kept busy.~~

-->Even a dull or unexciting job can't be considered boring if you are kept busy...because if you are kept busy you do not have time to be bored.<--

However, the WORST is a job that is dull or unexciting & you are NOT kept busy...then this job certainly becomes the "ULTIMATE BORING JOB"!

I had a summer job once working in a business district clothing store--our customers only shopped during their lunch hours, which was typically 11:30am to 1:30pm. We'd have 7 to 10 clerks on the floor in one department during these shopping hours, but the rest of the day we only had 2.

During this time it was up to the 2 of us to clean & straighten the clothing racks, make sure the fitting rooms were empty & clean...this would usually only take 30 to 60 minutes between the 2 of us... from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm when the store closed there was absolutely nothing else to do.

We were not allowed to converse with each other, we had to stay on opposite ends of the department, naturally of course we were not allowed to talk on the phone, have visitors in the store, eat or read, we had to be ready to spring into immediate "servitude" mode incase a stray shopper would find their way into our store & our department during those "non-shopping" hours..

Out of desperation I invented things to do...I made sure every article of clothing had a price tag, I dusted, straightedned & restocked every single cash & wrap stand (the cash register areas). I emptied the trash cans. Ran the vacuum cleaner & swept the entire sales floor. Cleaned the mirrors in the fitting rooms. This only lasted 3 days until I was approached by management who told me that the stock person & night janitor had had nothing to do for 3 days because I had done it all & I needed to stop! lol

Management told me: "if you can't find anything to do"...count the floor tiles--haha--which I did...all 1069 of them.

Yes that job had indeed became the "ULTIMATE BORING JOB!"

My solution was simple...I definitely needed a summer job as I was saving money for college...so I asked to be rescheduled to only work the prime shopping hours & I was lucky enough to find a 2nd job that allowed me to work the other hours. I stayed busy between the 2 jobs & was never bored again!
