I can give you a couple recipes that impressed my husband when we started dating:

Glazed Pork Chops

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. margarine
6 pork chops, ¾” thick
1 can French Onion Soup
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar

1. In skillet, melt margarine. Cook half the chops 10 min. or until browned on both sides. Remove. Repeat with remaining chops.
2. In skillet, combine soup and sugar. Heat to boiling. Return chops to skillet. Cover; cook over low heat 10 min. or until chops are no longer pink; stir occasionally.
3. In a cup, stir together cornstarch and ½ cup water; set aside.
4. Remove chops; keep warm. Stir cornstarch mixture into skillet. Cook until mixture boils and thicken; stir constantly.

Chicken Piccata

3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
½ cup flour
salt
pepper
½ tsp. paprika
¼ cup margarine
1 Tbsp. olive oil
4 Tbsp. water
4 Tbsp. lemon juice
Hot cooked fettucini (cooked according to the package)

Cut all the fat off the chicken. Place chicken breasts between 2 sheets of wax paper and pound with a wooden mallet (or whatever you can find to pound it with) until thin (about ¼ inch). Cut the chicken into small pieces, like 3 inches long. Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a plastic bag. Add chicken and coat well. Shake off any excess. Heat margarine and olive oil in a large skillet and add chicken, a few at a time and cook over medium to medium high heat until lightly browned on both sides. Remove and continue until all the chicken is cooked. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.

Deglaze pan with water (pour the water in the pan and scrape it). Keep the water and the stuff from cooking the chicken in the pan. Add the lemon juice and return chicken to skillet. Heat briefly and serve over fettucini. If the chicken dries out at all from being on the stove too long, just add more lemon juice.

And chocolate for dessert is always a winner with me.

Romantic lore commonly identifies chocolate as an aphrodisiac. The reputed aphrodisiac qualities of chocolate are most often associated with the simple sensual pleasure of its consumption. More recently, suggestion has been made that serotonin and other chemicals found in chocolate, most notably phenethylamine, can act as mild sexual stimulants.

Strawberries

Line a tray with parchment paper. Melt chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot but not boiling water. Remove from the heat and dip strawberries into melted chocolate. Transfer to the prepared tray to cool and set.

That is so sweet. Do you mean cook or atmosphere. The best for me was a month ago. I had broken up with a boyfriend and went to visit an ex for a shoulder to cry on, and maybe some fun to forget the crap that was happening. I got to his place and we talked. He ordered dinner, Chinese and asked if I was eating. He didn't even ask what I wanted, he knew to order my veggie lo mein. We had been broken up for nine months and he still remembered what I liked. I remembered what he liked too ;). It was a great night.

Take it from me, it doesn't matter what you do, it is how you do it. Get t know what she likes.

I hate them, but if someone was to cook for me, I would want something like a steak, baked potato with a veggie.

Maybe spaghetti with garlic bread with a veggie.
