Every Iranian I've ever met has been polite and friendly, with a good sense of humor, though I ain't met but a dozen or so. It could be coincidence, of course.

Both Iran and Iraq have had great best-bud relationships with the US in the past.
That is those were non-working relationships based on propping up a figurehead leader well beyond the usefulness to us as a partner and to the detriment of their own populations. That combined with a policy of let-us-have-your resources and a cold-war beat the commies intention left us with the result we have now.
Two countries with excellent, cultured, populations with leadership's more bent on spiteful thwarting of the US than looking out for their own best interests.
I don't like the terror originating from these countries but the long term consistent phrase "Stupid US" comes to mind.

I LOVE Iran. Unless you have been there before you wouldn't be able to say if you like Iran or not. What kind of question is that, but anyways. Some people might not like Iran because of the government, but why?? Iran has every right to have nuclear power, and they are not threatening anyone, America is threatening them. And they may support Hammas and Hezbollah, but America supports Israel with all kinds of weapons. Why does Iran have to be like every other country and take all the BS that America gives them? They are only protecting themselves and they haven't even done anything.
Don't be fooled by the media. Iran has such beautiful culture and it is a beautiful country.

Yes, I love all countries. I rarely listen to the hype the media splashes around - I try to formulate my own opinions. If someone is critical about a country, I ask myself, why would they say that, do they have anything to gain by saying that, then I do my own research, you'll be surprised what a different image you come up with from what the media would have us believe.
Just because you've met rude people from one country you judge everyone from that country with the same yardstick? Grow up. I'm not American, but I have found in my travels that Americans have been the rudest people on earth, but I still like Americans.

I have a lot of respect for Iran because they have enough balls to give the western world the middle finger and say, "We can do whatever we want. This is not your country. This is our country. Leave us alone, or else!" However, it's the "or else" that makes me dislike them.
Sure they can do whatever they want. Just as long as they don't threaten anyone else. Therein lies the problem. They ARE threatening others. They are threatening Israel with their distruction. They are threatening the US with possible nukes. This is not a good situation. Leave someone like this unchecked and we could be looking at nuclear war.
The cold war isn't over, its escalated. Iran and North Korea threaten with nukes. Israel is bullying Palestine because they see the US as an ally that will defend them if the Palestinians fight back. They have nukes, themselves.
The world is going to hell. Enjoy it while you can.

You know the saying, don't judge a book by its cover. The only thing most of us know is what the media tells us. The media has a way of making everything look bad. Another saying is One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch. You can't decide on whether you like an entire country because of what a few have done. Most of those people are innocent, and they have children witnessing first hand destruction. They shouldn't have to.

NO, because we should have went there, not Iraq. Iran is helping Hezbollah and Hamas, right now. Israel is having to fight back, just to keep Hezbollah off their backs; they already had fighting on their southern borders with Hamas. Iran and Syria are backing these organizations, and if Bush really gave a damn about "humanitarian issues" and de-nuclearization of the middle east, he should have went into Iran. Let's go even further back, to the Iran-Iraq contra. This was beginning at the end of Reagan's administration, and continued into Bush Sr. admin. And we sold the Iraqis chemical weapons to defend themselves with, against Iran. Now, eleven years later, we invade Iraq looking for those same chemical weapons, knowing damn well they used them all up, and they thought we either didn't know we sold em to them, or that we wouldn't even remember the Iran-Iraq contra, and how America supported Iraq. Iran has nukes. North Korea has nukes. And yet, our soldiers are being killed over a mock war, and now we have no chance of defending ourselves against NK, especially since we burned up our bridges with most of the global friends we had........ pray for peace, readers.

Im sure the country itself is fine, but I hate Iran because of the current government and their stances in world politics, specifically on Israel. I'm Jewish and my grandmother spend 2 years of her life in Auswitz, loosing almost her whole family. The fact that President Ahmadinejad denies the Holocaust's occurence is appaling to me. His stances on Israel (wipe it off the map/move it to europe) are completely uncalled. Some people may say its just him, but it's not. A large amount of people in Iran feel this way and that is why I don't like Iran.

I don't like many of the things that their leader has had to say, but I don't think that that means that's necessarily the way all of the people inside Iran feel.
I don't know any Iranian people personally, either ... so I guess I can't say that I dislike Iran just based solely upon the one Iranian whose voice we hear in the news.

I Haven been in Iran, but I have know Iranian people.
You cant judge a country if you haven't be there, or judge there people.
They are always good people and bad peoples in every part, in everywhere. But it is a pitty that we always remember the bad thing and not the good thing!
Don't let prejudice, make you judge...
Try to go and then you can see if you like it or not!
