Ketchup and mayonaise mixed is the best. sometimes ill eat em with plain mayo if the ketchup tastes..."off" fries dipped in a milkshake is good too, or ice cream . Ooooh gravy on fries is good too . Now I want lunch ....thanks

I LOVE mayonnaise on my french fries! I don't remember how it started or how I found out about it, but I almost always ask for mayo on the side at restaurants for my fries. I love mixing it with the ketchup too...it's a great combination. I heard it's very popular in Europe, or at least the Netherlands, but I'm Cuban-American and I don't think it comes from either side. A local brewery/restaurant where I live makes chipotle mayo...it's to die for with your fries. Good to know I'm not the only one out here...

It is a very European thing to do...and many Canadians have picked up this as well. I think it tastes pretty good. And one side note, the people of Utah have a thing they call "fry sauce" which is some kind of mixture of mayo and ketchup ( and other various ingredients), that is really good on fries.

Of course, as every respectable French guy.
But the top of the top is 2/3 of mayonnaise and an additional 1/3 of mustard. Enjoy !

YEA! but i mostly like french fries with Mustard, Ketchup and Mayonnaise on my fries. you are making me hungry! i think i'm in the mood for some Mc.Donalds now. i think i'm the only american who likes that.

Sometimes, I was introduced to this a few years ago. What is really good is mayo mixed with ketchup.

not something I would try b.c. i don't really like mayo...but ranch dressing by itself or mixed with ketchup is good....also gravy is my fave on fries....as for milkshakes--the best is Wendy's frosties with Wendy's fries.

Why yes I do....comes from spending many years in Germany...their mayo is better than mayo here in the US.
Also the chick who said she dips them in her shake has no right to say eeewww to mayo....your shake!! come on!! thats ewww
