Probably 1lb to 1.25 lbs. You are only supposed to loose 5 lbs a month if you do it right with diet and exercise.

Truthfully you should be more interested in your body fat percentage as losing weight doesnt make you look better on its own. You need cardio and weight training to prevent weight rebound, tht's why 95% of diets fail. With more muscle you will lose fat without even trying, which will add to the calories you burn from cardio.
But if you want to stick to conventional wisdom then yes, you should only lose 2 lbs or less each week. to stay healthy.

I have tried countless diets and exercise gimmicks. The best way to really lose weight and keep it off is a healthy diet and daily exercise (any form of movement) ... weight loss should be about 1lb a week ... a little more, a little less ... but slow and stead will help to ensure that the weight will stay off.

You should average no more than 2lbs per week for healthy weight loss. The only time you should go over that average is under a doctor's supervision.

Dear Nicholas,
First, Remember to diet healthy! Don't stop eating! And don't get frustrated if you don't loose everything you want to loose in a short period of time. You can always keep trying!
I think you can loose about 1 lb per week, healthy!
Good luck,
Love, Jinyll
