But Israel escalated the issue. It was a matter of just a war prisoner!!! But it seems that Israel wants to hit Lebanon back as payback since it was driven out of it by the party. Besides if an "independant party" in Mexico, God forbid, hit America then America would not hit Mexico!!!

Then y'all agree killing civilians and unarmed ppl!!! How on earth could you?? They ask the village residents to evacuate it, and on their way out of it they get bombed and killed??!!! What is that in God's sake? Ain't that a war crime? It is a matter of common sense.

If, as in your hypothetical scenario, an "Independent Party" had set up their organization in Mexico and was attacking the U.S. from there. And if, as in Lebanon, the country's government was in full knowledge of the organization being there, what their objective was and what their methods were and the country's government did nothing to stop them. You can be sure that the US would attack any and all locations that they thought would, in any way shape or form, be of importance to that "Independent Party". Yes, there would probably be a lot of "collateral damage" (AKA dead civilians).
If they know the "Independent Party" is operating out of their country and they do nothing about it, they are in essence "harboring" and "giving aid and comfort to" that "Independent Party" and are therefore assisting them. By assisting the enemy, they too become the enemy.
If you keep throwing things at a hornet's nest, expect to get stung. If you are standing next to someone that is throwing things at a hornet's nest, expect to get stung. If you have a hornets nest in your yard and someone comes into your yard and starts throwing rocks at it, either make him stop, leave or be prepared to get stung. That's common sense.
Where did this wacky idea come from that group A can attack group B however they want to, but group B can only retaliate in a manner comparable to how they were attacked by group A? How about if Israel was to send a bunch of suicide bombers out into the Lebanese markets targeting civilians? Oh, that's right, it's only OK if Israel's enemies do that to the Israeli civilians! The killing of Israeli civilians evidently does not bother you, only the killing of Lebanese civilians.
Yes, go ahead and label any opinion that disagrees with you as "outta hatred fed to you by the media". I'm sure that you and you alone have full knowledge of the events going on over there. Only you can conclude a totally unbiased opinion of the events and anyone that disagrees with you obviously doesn't have a clue.

Of course it's overreacting, and no, the Israeli response is not justified. But it's no surprise. Israel's policy has long had a draconian policy of retaliation toward its neighbors -- if you step on my toe, I'll chop your toe off -- and it's carried out with the full knowledge that the United States will back Israel to the hilt, no matter what. The American mantra is, "Israel has the right to defend itself." Israel, for its part, carefully preserves the fiction that it's a perennial victim, and that whenever slighted, it must strike back hard. The result is that Israel has brutalized much of the Middle East.
World opinion, by the way, recognizes what's going on over there, and it's only with America's carte blanche that Israel is able to continue these overly harsh policies. This in turn contributes mightily to worldwide resentment of American domineering.

Just like in criminal law, Israel has a right to exercise as much force as necessary to prevent the threat to it's existence. Common sense will tell you that you can't keep responding to repeated attacks with the same level of force and expect to change anything. You begin with one level and when the aggressor proves to you it wasn't enough, you increase your response until you obtain the desired result. It isn't that complicated. How patient is Israel expected to be? Would we tolerate what Israel has had to contend with? There comes a time when enough is enough. Terrorists have reached that point with Israel.

I think Israel has a right to defend themselves against the crazy terrorists in the Middle East - just like we do - I am OVER the world being afraid of these people - they are like rabid dogs that need to be STOPPED! Why should the world put up with their bull s***!? Israel is TOTALLY justified. I think the U.S. under-reacted to 9-11 - we should have bombed the hell out of them over there!

It contravenes international law in spectacular fashion.
Almost everyone who they have killed is a civilian. They blow up streets if there is a chance a terrorist may be there, bugger the innocent people who live there. They blow up the houses of known terrorists, sod their families and children.
I don't mind if they try to kill the terrorists, but they should not be letting innocent men, women and children die in the crossfire, when they know perfectly well the consequences of their actions.

Israel in my sense has been acting with restraint, If they wanted to they could have destroyed Lebanon in a matter of days. So I support them 100%.

YES! Overreacting. NO! not justified.
They are supported by the US and UK governments, who incidentally put the European Jews in that Arab land in the first place.
Israel's land mass has been growing steadily since it's inception, with the Arabs shrinking the same amount. Where is the justice?

No, they are not overreacting because they were attacked on their own soil and their soldiers were captured. They have the right to retaliate.
