The majority of wars are started because some butt head thinks he/she should rule the world. Religion is just the excuse some use to start the war.

I too agree with answer 1, religion is used as an excuse by those who want to rule the world!,Anyone who would justify a war in the name of religion in todays world, is in delusion agreed. Many people claim to know god and embrace religion, without giving it a second thought or realizing what it is to know god. Those who embrace religion do not "hide behind religion" but realise that its better to put one's self in the hands of the creator whatever the outcome while realising that our lives are but momentary and every day is a gift , even if buildings are falling down around us , due to power ,greed, politics etc. I'm alive, Its good to be here, sometimes it sucks, but i won't be here forever, neither will you. Where are you going ? God knows.

I'm a former drug addict, alcoholic, chain smoker, My health isnt perfect, but i'm clean, and i never thought i would be so thats GREAT!:) and even if we all blow each other to bits... i'll be alright, cause i have faith in god, I know god,You can too. :)

The leaders are using the name of religion for their own political and material gains. You can fool majority of the people by using Religion all the time.

I actually think that war is ignorance related.
Of course, people can blame it on religion, because that's what it appears to be when you look at it from the outside. But in fact, violence of any kind is a result of ignorance. War is violence. And violence in the name of any religion can actually be traced to fear which is caused by ignorance. We fear what we do not understand.

because most religious people are so wrapped up in their own world, they become ignorant to reality. People hide behind their religion because they believe that no matter how or what they think, if they call it religion it makes it okay.

the reason is the people who r the leaders of religon all over the world muslim jew or christian they r not acting properly on thier belifs and for thier own benifits they need wars if there is no war no differnce where will they earn from u go tmy point so its not cuz of religeons its cuz of ppl who depicvt wrong

More people have been killed in the name of religion than for any other reason. I personally think we should just all try to get along. You aren't going to remove a religion just by killing them. I say live and let live.
